POSITION
Summary:
This person will be the guardian and challenger of all factory functions to drive Food safety and hygiene anywhere and at any time as the essential base for maintaining consumer trust and preference.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain competences on food safety (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Plan (HACCP) and associated programs) and hygiene (Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and associated programs) in the factory.
Food safety team Leader for the factory, promoting food safety standards and awareness across the factory.
Setup, manage, enforce and maintain all Nestl Quality Management System related to food safety and hygiene; ensure Quality monitoring scheme (QMS) is up to date with all food safety and hygiene requirements Plan, communicate, implement and enforce HACCP in the unit as per internal guidelines and standards; explain and provide guidance on implementation (e.
g.
process of deploying and sustaining HACCP studies) of these reference materials to all stakeholders; acquire support from the relevant expertise required; demonstrate that HACCP is in place and managed as part of unit routines (supporting documentation, CCPs and OPRPs validation / verification & monitoring activities, PRPs robustness, limited gaps under control).
Provide expertise, support and check (verify, evaluate) on NGMP area(s) under responsibility; ensure necessary visibility to the manager on gaps & weaknesses; articulate reference material to all stakeholders and to provide guidance on implementation; demonstrate that competence and system are in place for NGMP area(s) of expertise and that gaps have been highlighted to be managed.
Manage the internal auditing food safety & hygiene programs, assessing the performance of the quality system in this area, reporting its effectiveness to the management and proposing actions for improvement.
Review and approve recipes for Meals and Drinks REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Employee must support and comply with all Nestl programs and policies, including, affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence), TPM (Total Performance Management), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality.
Employee must meet all requirements related to NQMS (Nestle Quality Management System) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety.
Experience:
Academic Experience Bachelor's degree with preferred concentration in microbiology, chemistry or food science Operational Experience Minimum 8 to 10 years of Quality experience Demonstrated capability to lead teams Supervisor position in a factory:
Deputy QA, Quality Systems, Hygienist or QA specialist in a PTC or R&D Centre, NRC, CO-QM Business Experience Different factory positions in Quality Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams OTHER SKILLS Leadership and people development skills.
English language and preferably local language written and spoken.
Communicate with all levels of factory management.
Work under pressure and yet stay calm before management.
Set priorities and delegate activities.
