WHAT DOES A SENIOR TAX ANALYST DO? As a Senior Tax Analyst you will serve as an expert analyst with responsibility for performing significant technical, analytical, and evaluative staff work related to national level mission-oriented programs.
Assignments involve exceptionally large and complex programs, systems, or issues.
The work includes planning, coordinating, and conducting analytical studies, and/or projects.
Programs include direct or indirect activities related to tax administration.
In this position, your decisions directly influence the formulation of agency program and/or policy development.
You will also provide coordination in the identification, development, and resolution of program issues that affect the operating units within the Business Division assigned.
As a Senior Tax Analyst you will:
Perform assignments that are agency-wide in scope and have significant impact on issues facing the operating unit.
Comprehensively plan, analyze, determine cost/benefit relationship, and coordinate a variety of functions, operations, teams, or interfacing administrative systems.
Independently studie complex problems facing operating unit functions or those of particular concern within specialized areas of the organization.
This may require coordinating input from activities outside the division and identifying new methods of performing work.
Represent management at high-level meetings and conference calls to provide technical advice and staff assistance to headquarters executives, headquarters analysts, field managers, and employees in the assigned program area(s).
Provide authoritative interpretations and guidance concerning operating policies, instructions, and other material pertaining to assigned program areas.
Serve as liaison with business units/operating divisions, managers, and other internal/external stakeholders on a variety of significant program, policy, and systemic issues and problems.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-14 - LEVEL:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Experience using knowledge of the overall mission, objective, functions, organizational structure and operations of a call center operation; Experience with change management principles to support the operational goals of the IRS.
Experience facilitating requested changes by Business partners to the Enterprise Call Routing design and Automated Self-Service Applications (ASSA); Experience communicating orally and in writing, provide technical advice, authoritative interpretation, and guidance concerning operating policies.
Experience independently handling complex issues in coordination with stakeholders; including Business Operating Units and IT to successfully manage call routing and design changes.
Experience researching, analyzing and evaluating information and situations to develop solutions or make recommendations to improve work systems and processes.
Experience interpreting and applying organizational policies and procedures as it relates to TIGTA/GAO audits.
Experience Coordinating TIGTA/GAO audits and preparing response to findings.
-The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service.
One year of experience refers to full-timework; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

You must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
