Gerdau is currently seeking a Shipping Inventory Coordinator for its Fort Smith, AR facility.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include: Perform physical inventories. Report and repair inventory errors. Navigate inventory and shipping programs within company database. This role reports directly into the Logistics Manager.
Perform physical inventories
Monthly cycle counts
Report and repair inventory errors
Navigate inventory and shipping programs in the AS400 computer system
Follow and adjust bundle inventories
Assure outbound material meets customer packaging and shipping requirements
Notify Production Control of aged material
Responsible for following Cardinal Safety Rules
Will be working industrial environment both inside and outside. The conditions may be noisy, dirty and exposure to outside temperatures is common; high heat is utilized in our processing activities. The incumbent may work in extreme heat while indoors.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED minimum required
1-2 years experience in Shipping/Receiving and Inventory in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Basic computer skills in Word and Excel required
Must be available to work day shift (6am-4pm/M-F) with the possibility of regular overtime on weekends and holidays as needed
Ability to work independently and productively on tight deadlines with little supervision Experience with AS400 or SAP helpful but not required
Incumbent must be able to work in extreme temperatures of both hot/cold, inside the mill and outdoors in the scrap yard
