JOB
Summary: Under general supervision, plans, organizes, implements, and controls all functions of the Health Information Department. Serves as the resource and support person for the Medical Center and Medical Staff for the Health Information area. Ensures compliance with JCAHO, Arkansas State Health Department standards, and PRO rules and regulations for Health Information. Ensures confidentiality of patient information. Provides Health information support to area nursing homes and markets other Health information services through Corporate Services.
EDUCATION: Must have an Associate''s Degree and/or AHIMA (RHIT) certification. A Bachelor''s Degree and AHIMA (RHIA) certification is preferred.
Experience: (5) years experience, (3) years in management position within the Health Information Management field.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: AHIMA certification (RHIT OR RHIA).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
