POSITION
Summary:
Prelaunch phase : Position is to support and advise the start up team to get the factory production lines manufacture the projected recipe portfolio per specifications. Also to support factory personnel to achieve output per projected production rate and with the amount of raw materials and packaging material that has been set as standard. Assist where necessary in training of personnel
Manage with the RME the procedures required for launching new products according Nestle protocol. This involves NPDI, recipe management, MRM procedures, CAT tool, raw mat. Approval procedures etc.
Post launch phas e: Position is to help solve unresolved production issues and to stream line production.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Helps administer procedures and SOP's to achieve the right qualifications as density, headspace, organoleptical qualities, color of the various different products.
Support Production with following up procedures as defined in NPDI, recipe management,
Once the process has been stabilized, lead the training of a new individual by end 2013 and handover of all procedural knowledge and skills to the new individual and the group members of the Application group.
Support priorities are:
Establishes, maintains and oversees project timelines.
Applies SPC and capability studies to develop products in conjunction wity QA, Regulatory, and Marketing to link product performance with finished product specifications.
Assist with development of Preliminary Manufacturing Dossier, Standard Operating Procedures, Block Diagrams, Recipe Manager, HACCP Studies, Change Control Requests, Regulatory Change Requests etc.
Design and carry out stability/keeping quality studies.
Assist to conduct Plant Trials and First of Code (FOC) production runs of new products and helps solve problems on-site if issues arise at Nestle and co-manufacturer facilities.
Co-responsible for the preparation of Formula Compliance and Legal Compliance Templates and recommends corrective action(s) to deviations as needed. Coordinates FOC release with PTC.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
BS Food Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering or other scientific disciplines required. Advanced degree a plus.
Product development, pilot plant, and/or QA/QC experience
Experience:
The ideal candidate must have strong project management as well as sound bench top/product development experience, and the ability to work with little supervision. Infant Formula, nutritional supplement product development and manufacturing experience a plus.
SKILLS:
Strong interpersonal skills for cross functional collaboration
Technical Problem solving skills are required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Computer aptitude and skills - Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project is desired
Detail oriented
Self motivating and dedicated
Ability to excel in dynamic fast paced environment
Knowledge of Infant Cereals and validation principles is a desired.
