In this job role as Regional Logistics Sourcing Manager, you will manage an important, complex regional logistics sourcing program as well as other regional products or service groups in cooperation with a regional team of local buyers and a global category manager. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsible for $30 mm of spend through analysis of historical and future business requirements within the region for both the logistic category and other categories in terms of both quality and quantity; analyze the supplier market within the logistics category and identify multi-plant, regional, and global opportunities in leveraging purchasing
Develop and maintain the logistic category spend analysis, savings reporting and supplier passports (if applicable): give input and participate in setting global sourcing strategy and take ownership for development of the regional sourcing strategy towards internal stakeholders on scope of contracting (local and regional), potential supplier base, type and duration of contract, and optimize/lower the TCO for this company in the full supply chain.
Consolidate and centralize the transportation network. Fifty percent of the time, this person will be tasked with negotiating contracts for trucking, freight, rail, and import/export agreements. Therefore, someone who has a strong logistics /3PL background would be beneficial.
Support additional projects as needed that include various commodities, travel, utilities, and more.
Job Requirements:
BA or BS degree
3-5 years of hands-on experience with logistics purchasing and with other significant categories and/or equivalent operations experience
STRONG negotiation skills and the ability to negotiate all aspects of a contract including pricing, product specifications, performance management, and service
direct transportation experience in trucking, rail, shipping
commodity experience that includes zinc, steel, aluminum, utilities or other
strong logistics and supply chain knowledge
Third Party Logistics (3PL) experience
up-to-date with professional and technical knowledge and analyze key market trends in the global supply chain and industry analytics
ability to build and develop strong relationships with customers to clearly understand the requirements and take proactive action to meet their needs
well-organized and have the ability to maintain and track all contracts and related documents electronicallyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
