Summary:
Summary:
The BSA Analyst 2 ensures compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) activity including Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), Customer Identification Program (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) and USA PATRIOT Act requirements by investigating, analyzing and decisioning complex BSA-related cases, reports, and alerts.
The incumbent's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing, and investigating transaction alerts; identifying suspicious activity; writing enhanced due diligence (EDD) and suspicious activity (SAR) narratives; interpreting company's policy and procedures pertaining to BSA compliance; keeping up to date on regulations; and ensuring timely reporting of suspected activity.
The incumbent works with uncertainty, complex structures, international exposure and, at times, partial information, to analyze data and draw conclusions on the nature of a customer's transaction behavior.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, as assigned.

1.
Analyzes financial information, including customer account activity, business type, structure, tax returns, etc.
to arrive at concise written analyses for potential financial crimes and prepares SAR and documentation of SAR no filing determination.
2.
Provides analyses to management regarding termination of account relationships, when applicable.
3.
Responsible for execution of the Bank's EDD regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to EDD monitoring.
4.
Reviews all high-risk customers identified via high risk scoring methodology, transaction monitoring, and other sources to determine whether the assigned customer risk profile remains accurate.
5.
Communicates effectively and efficiently with account officers, relationship managers, and business lines to obtain needed documentation for EDD or SAR investigations.
6.
Responsible for supporting the Bank's OFAC/Sanctions program, including analysis of potential OFAC/sanctions name matches with supporting analysis.
7.
Provides guidance to business lines regarding OFAC-related issues, including system parameters for screening potential name matches, as warranted.
8.
Understands and complies with applicable laws and regulations and the bank's BSA/AML and OFAC Compliance Program, as applicable to job duties.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
completing required compliance training as assigned; adhering to requisite policies, procedures, and controls; reporting to management known violations of compliance or other laws, regulations, or bank policies; and reporting potentially suspicious activity as outlined in BSA-related policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field of study, or equivalent work, or military experience, required.
2 years of direct work experience in BSA/AML or a similar analytical position demonstrating progressively responsible accountabilities, preferred.
Knowledge of financial products and services, delivery channels, transaction monitoring systems, and various supporting operational processes, preferred.
Strong investigative and analytical experience preferred.
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess strong written communication skills.
Must possess excellent analytical reasoning skills and demonstrated ability to identify potential problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions regarding BSA/AML suspicious activity monitoring and reporting.
