Working as a materials handler does not require a formal education, but does entail extensive on-the-job training.
Computer skills as well as safety training and fork lift training are essential for position.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
To perform this job successfully, this individual should have knowledge of inventory software, manufacturing software and order processing systems.
