6 Part-time Full Job Description Description:
Responsible for operating assigned vehicle according to schedule to transport clients to various appointments.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of his or her passengers for the duration of the transport.
Operate vehicle according to assigned schedule to provide safe and reliable transportation.
Drive in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
Comply with all traffic regulations.
Responsible for activating and deactivating the child safety alarm system.
Assist wheelchair and mobility limited passengers in and out of the pickup/drop-off points and as they enter or exit the vehicle, including assistance with seating, securing seat belt, securing wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
Report any witnessed or reported abuse of passengers to the Transportation Manager.
Enforce all laws, including but not limited to, ensuring all passengers wear their seat belts at all times.
Project a professional image and attitude at all times.
Wear company issued ID badge.
Communicate with Dispatchers or other Drivers to report disruption of service, delays or accidents.
Responsible for cleanliness of vehicle, as well as inspecting and reporting any vehicle damage or malfunction on a daily basis.
Maintain records of trips and behavior of passengers.
Identify self and announce presence at the entrance of the building at the specified pick-up location if the passenger is not waiting curbside.
Regulate heating, lighting and ventilation system for passenger comfort.
Attend educational workshops and classes.
Requirements:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 25 years old.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Certified in CPR/First Aid.
Must submit to and successfully pass a criminal background screen, adult and child maltreatment screen and pre-employment drug screen.
Must not have any combination of two moving violations or accidents on the motor vehicle report.
Experience in driving or working with elderly or disabled is preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide an approved medical or religious exemption request.
